Formed in 1994 with the objective of meeting local need for affordable childcare of outstanding quality. Today RASCALS continues to do just that through carefully planned expansion. RASCALS unrivalled and enduring commitment to that objective for the people of Southeast Northumberland. Is as strong today as it was then.

RASCALS does not operate for profit and is owned by its membership of parents and employees for the benefit of the parents and children who use its services along with local people whom it employs.

As a Social Enterprise and not for profit co-operative RASCALS re-invests all financial surpluses back into the organisation to ensure the continued provision of outstanding childcare founded upon an exceptional staff development programme.

RASCALS provides affordable, accessible, high quality childcare for children aged from 6 weeks to 14 years to meet the needs of local children and their families.

We believe that all children and young people should have the support and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
